Andy Sellins – Acting Chief Executive

I’ve been with the charity for 26 years and started as a Development Officer. My current role involves raising funds for the charity and developing our strategy working closely with Andy DW and Tom on both.

Tom Rodwell – Chief Executive

Tom Rodwell

Experience
35 yrs in Advertising and 25yrs in Inner City cricket. Loves cricket and is determined to effect change in society. He is therefore a perfect advocate for the work of Cricket for Change. Tom is always at the forefront, promoting awareness of the charity to the corporate sector and the cricket authorities and forms a crucial link in the organisation reporting back to sponsors, trustees and other supporters.

Andy Dalby-Welsh – Director of Programmes

Andy Dalby-Welsh

Experience
I arrived at Cricket for Change having finished a degree in Social Policy at the University of Sussex.  I was introduced to Cricket for Change through his involvement with the England Blind Cricket Team.  Initially I joined the charity working two days a week.  Andy is now a vital member of our full time staff and has an incredibly positive impact on the young people the charity works with.

Mikey Thompson – Head Coach

Mikey Thompson

Is the ‘Godfather of inner city cricket’. A product of the Haringey Cricket College which was set up by Cricket for Change in the 1980s and former coach to the England Blind Cricket Team, Mikey has become an expert in all areas of our work and is renowned in the cricketing world as one of the game’s most experienced and innovative coaches.

Mikey is currently in Jamaica providing his wisdom and working knowledeg to The Courtney Walsh Foundation - set up in partnership with Cricket for Change.

Tony Joseph – Senior Development Officer

Experience
Is another product of the Haringey Cricket College. He is probably our most experienced member of staff and has coached all around the world. Tony’s immense patience and good humour make him very popular with young people, teachers and other coaches who he inspires with his expertise.

Hobbies
Collecting restaurant 2 for 1 vouchers.

Tell us something we don’t know
Spent six months playing and coaching cricket in South Africa and managed to crash his sponsored car hours after being handed the keys.    His cousin has been knighted by the queen for being one of the greatest cricketeters of all time. Can you guess who it is?

Danny Baker – Development Manager

Danny Baker

Experience
Been with the charity nearly 4 years having been a detached youth worker at Sutton County Council.

Hobbies
Enjoy the job, watching the mighty AFC Wimbledon and playing as much sport as possible.

Adam Hall – Development Manager

Adam Hall

Experience
Played at Hackney cricket college from the age of 15 and joined the LCCA’s (now Cricket for Change) urban cricket project when I was 16 where I was mentored by Mikey (our Head Coach) for a few years. In 2009 I won the England and Wales Cricket Board and Sky Sports Young Coach of the Year Award for the East. 

Following an awards night on the 24th Jan. 2010, Adam was annoucned national winner of the ECB Sky Sports Young Coach of the Year. Well Done Adam!

Playing darts, dancing & 5 a side football

Beth Evans – Development Officer

Experience
I have been a cricket coach for 4 years and a coach at Cricket for Change for 2 of them. I play for Ashford Ladies CC and have been nominated as vice captain. I have also recently won the Surrey CCC award for “Young Coach of the Year” 2009.  With her dance degree in tow, she is a much valued member of staff.

A talented all round sportswoman, she won gymnastics medals across Surrey from as early as 5

Donovan Miller – Development Officer

Experience
I am Level 3 cricket coach and have been coaching for 7 years. I also worked as a volunteer for Cricket for Change between 2003 and 2004.

I enjoy going to the gym, running and playing cards

Played some 2nd eleven County cricket for Essex and Derbyshire and also played Minor County cricket for Hertfordshire.

Alex Bassan – Development Coach

Alex Bassan

Experience
I am the newest member of Cricket for Change and with over 500 hours of volunteering under my belt I went through the C4C Apprenticeship programme and I am now a full time member of staff.  I now run 3 StreetChance projects and also as the Middlesex disability coach (alongside Mikey Thompson).  I feel I am improving more and more each time I coach. 
In 2009, Alex won a Young Leader Award for his work on the national cricket project, ‘Chance to Shine’.

Alasdair Ramsay – Marketing Support Officer (Part Time)

Alasdair Ramsay

Experience
I was first introduced to the great work of the charity whilst doing a sports management course in London; I have worked in tourism and travel, organising outdoor events and now been working where ever needed for C4C for one year. I have enjoyed every minute and learnt so much from all our experienced team.

I love playing and watching cricket, singing and looking after my children too!

Bryony Driver – Administrator

Experience 
My mum has been involved with the charity since before I was born. I’ve just finished my a-levels and am doing admin work and occasionally working behind the bar at the centre during my gap year.
